GRANITE
Granite is an excellent choice for kitchen countertops and bathroom vanities. Granite is available in polished and antique finishes. While granite may be more expensive than some other materials, its longevity adds immeasurable value. Learn more on our Frequently Asked Questions about Granite page.
MARBLE
Marble is ideal for foyers, bathrooms, floors, and hearths. It is inherently warm, yet sophisticated. Many marbles are suitable for wet applications such as showers and tub surrounds.
TRAVERTINE
Travertine is characterized by a naturally pitted surface that yields the classic look of tumbled stone. The surface can be filled and polished for a more formal setting or can be left untreated to allow the stone to acquire a warm, aged patina.
- Soft, earthy tones that never appear as a solid color
- Suitable for interior and exterior applications
- Ideal for flooring, moldings and trims
- Used for numerous architectural items
- Will react negatively to acids such as lemons, vinegar, alcohol, etc.
SLATE & SOAPSTONE
Slate & soapstone are both versatile and chemically resistant materials. Traditionally they have been used as laboratory tabletops. Despite being softer stones subject to abrasions, they are used for flooring and countertops. Soapstone is also heat-resistant making it suitable for fireplace surrounds.
LIMESTONE
Limestone is one of the softer varieties of natural stone materials. It is a popular choice for intricately carved features and moldings, as well as statuary.
